Our Story

In the early ’90s, my wife and I attended a Sunday School class on Evolution vs. Creation that deeply impacted our lives. Centered on Ken Ham’s video series, The Genesis Solution, and foundational texts like The Genesis Flood by Henry M. Morris, the course highlighted the scientific flaws in evolutionary theory. It was our first introduction to Christian Apologetics—the reasoned defense of our faith—and it greatly strengthened our convictions. Because of this foundation, we felt equipped to answer our children’s toughest questions with sound logic and operational science.

In 2021, we were blessed to purchase a home in Florence, Kentucky, ideally situated halfway between the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. Over the last few years, we have loved hosting family and friends visiting these sites. It is a joy to spend time with our brothers and sisters in Christ and to provide a hospitable place for them to stay during their visit to the Ark and Museum.

Thank you Jesus giving us this opportunity to serve others.

Be hospitable to one another without complaint.
10 As each one has received a special gift,
employ it in serving one another as good stewards
of the multifaceted grace of God.

(1 Peter 4:9-10 NASB)

Things to Know

  • The Ark Encounter is about 45 minutes from the Creation Museum
  • Plan for a full day at each; take your time, enjoy your day
  • There is a small zoo and playground at both the Ark and the Museum
  • Both places have good restaurants. The Ark has an all-you-can-eat buffet “Emzara’s” that is really good.
  • The Museum has many restaurants and almost any store you need within 20 miles; the Ark is more remote
